Contract signed for the building of the Ávila Camacho-Tihuatlán motorway

The project is budgeted to cost 475 million Pesos.

Contract signed for the building of the Ávila Camacho-Tihuatlán motorway

The contract includes the construction of 48.1 km of earthworks, drainage, asphalt concrete pavement, ancillary work, signage, junctions and structures between kms 178 + 500 and 225 + 866, of the Ávila Camacho - Tihuatlán section. Construction work is set to commence immediately and completion is scheduled for December 2009.

Once built and completed, this section will be part of the Tihuatlán New Necaxa AUNETI concession for the toll road granted in 2007 to a consortium of ICA and GlobalVía Infrastructure, the total length of which under the official concession is 84.7 km

The official concession contract includes the commercial operation, conservation, and maintenance of the road for a period of 30 years. FCC is currently building the Nuevo Necaxa - Avila Camacho section with a length of 36.6 km . The road is a key stretch to link Mexico City with the port of Tuxpan in Veracruz.
