8 August: FCC Construction organized the first walking race along a green highway. This was a 5k walk along the Nueva Necaxa-Tihuatlán highway in Mexico.

This initiative was aimed at staff and sub-contractors who have been working on the road building in order to promote sport, teamwork and involvement with the surrounding environment in the north-east of Mexico, as well as the US and Canada. The highway is expected to open before the end of 2014.
