FCC Construcción in Mexico obtained a Quality certification under the ISO 9001:2008 Standard, issued by the Spanish Standards and Certification Association (AENOR), in 2013.

The ISO 9001 certification has helped to transform the structure of our organisation. It has helped us to achieve sustainable development improvements over time and to adapt to the needs of the market as well as our clients, users and personnel.

The implementation of an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, which we have successfully adopted, helps us to increase the satisfaction of our clients, achieving cohesion and improving our internal processes. This has helped us to improve our competitiveness, thanks to the quality of our products and services, and to improve the performance and effectiveness in meeting the objectives of our company.

Environment

As FCC Construcción in Mexico has adopted environmentally friendly practices that go beyond the strict fulfilment of the current regulation.

It has a certified environmental management system, in accordance with UNE-EN ISO 14.001-2004, which is integrated in the general management system of the company. This is applied in all the works and work centres registered in the General Intellectual Property Register of 16 October 2015, under "Environmental Management System". 

Health and Safety at Work

FCC Construcción Mexico actively promotes the quality of life and welfare of all its employees. It does this by fostering a culture of health and safety in the work place and encouraging greater awareness of society and the environment. These values are applied across the whole company, as well as to subcontractors and clients..

The company has implemented a management system and developed monitoring and control mechanisms to comply with current regulations. This ensures that employees and contractors can rely on the best possible safety conditions while working on site and in work centres.

At the beginning of 2016, FCC Construcción in Mexico obtained the following certifications:

  • The Mexican Institute of Standardization and Certification (IMNC), with the 04/12 accreditation before the Mexican Accreditation Body (EMA), issued the RSAST 044 certificate for implementing and maintaining a health and safety management system in compliance with the standard NMX-SAST-001-IMC-2008 "Health and Safety at Work Systems. Requirements"
  • SGS issued the MX15-968292 certificate of compliance with the standard OHSAS 18001:2007 "health and safety at work Management Systems - Requirements".
